Saturday 25 April marked the close of another successful season for Vale Rec Mini’s, proudly sponsored by Gower, with the club hosting its much-anticipated annual presentation morning at the Corbet Field.
The event, brought together players from Reception through to Year 7, celebrating the efforts and achievements of children aged 4 to 12 who have been training and playing since the season began in September. Families, coaches and supporters gathered to recognise the progress, teamwork and commitment shown across all age groups.
Awards were presented on behalf of Gower by Paul McCormick, who handed out honours for each year group, including Merit, Development and Player of the Year awards, highlighting both individual achievement and personal growth throughout the season.
The morning concluded with the presentation of the prestigious Mini of the Year award. This accolade, awarded to an Under-12 player, is given in memory of Tim Hollyer-Hill. This year’s award was presented by Scott Rowe, Director at Gower, who has also dedicated the past 10 years to coaching Vale Rec Mini age groups.
The presentation morning was a fitting celebration of a fantastic season, recognising not only talent on the pitch but also the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and community spirit that define Vale Rec Mini’s.
